1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to the ZUZ mobile app, the ZUZ website at zuzapp.in, and related services (together, “ZUZ” or the “Service”). It applies to you whether you are a visitor, a free user or a PRO subscriber. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the team that operates ZUZ.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your phone number and basic profile details you provide when you sign up.
• Portfolio information you add — the holdings, SIPs and watchlist items you choose to enter or import. We use this only to display and analyse your own portfolio back to you.
• Subscription information — your plan status and transaction identifiers from the app stores. We do not receive or store your full card or bank details.
• Usage and device information — app interactions, log data, device type, operating system and diagnostic data that help us keep the Service reliable, secure and improving.
• Communications — messages you send us, such as support or feedback requests.

We do not ask for or store your demat, broker or bank login credentials, and we do not have the ability to place trades on your behalf.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the core experience — displaying and analysing your portfolio and showing aggregate, factual market information.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service.
• To manage your subscription and provide customer support.
• To communicate with you about your account, important changes and, where you have opted in, product updates.
• To comply with applicable laws and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Consent and legal basis

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and as necessary to provide the Service you request, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your rights” below); withdrawing consent may limit features that depend on that data.

5. How information is shared

We share information only in these limited situations:

• Service providers — trusted vendors who help us run the Service (for example, cloud hosting, analytics and communications), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations and permitted to use the data only to provide services to us.
• App stores — subscription payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms; we receive only confirmation and status, not your full payment details.
• Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Data security

We use secure sign-in and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

• Access and review the information you have added in the app.
• Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Withdraw consent to processing, where processing is based on consent.
• Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under applicable law.
• Manage notifications from your device settings.

9. Cookies & analytics

Our website and app may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep you signed in and understand usage so we can improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.

10. Children

ZUZ is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Where your data is processed

Your information is primarily stored and processed in India. Where we use service providers located elsewhere, we take steps to ensure your information continues to be protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be notified in the app.
